Obituary for Richard “Rich” Walstra Richard Walstra, age 69 of Hobart, IN, formerly of DeMotte, passed away at Aperion Care Center on October 14, 2018. He was born December 8, 1948 in Sunnyside, WA the son of John C. and Tillie (Boer) Walstra, both deceased. Rich retired from DeMotte Christian School after 32 years as a custodian.

He was also employed as a custodian for the Bible League for 8 years and the Linden House for another 7 years. Rich was a member of First Christian Reformed Church of DeMotte. Rich is survived by his brothers: Calvin (Grace) Walstra of Lombard, IL; Glen (Joyce) Walstra of Grand Rapids, MI; many nieces & nephews.

Rich was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Walstra; and sister-in-law, Donna Walstra. Friends may call at the Jackson Funeral Service of DeMotte, IN on Tuesday, October 17, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at First Christian Reformed Church on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Laryn Zoerhof and Pastor Bill Systsma officiating.
