OBITUARY Richard Stringer February 2, 1936 – September 25, 2018 Richard Stringer died on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at his home in Memphis. He was born on February 8, 1936 in Sumrall, MS the son of the late Grady and Cammie McDonald Stringer. Mr. Stringer worked in the nursery and landscaping business for over 40 years as the owner of Richard Stringer Nursery in Germantown.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Stringer of Memphis; one daughter, Mary Kaye Dykeman of Palm Coast, FL; one son, Tommy Stringer of Parsons, TN; one sister, Kathleen Russell; five grandchildren, Alicia Dykeman, Brian Dykeman, Matt Dykeman, Sybil Stringer, and Thomas D. Stringer; three great grandchildren, Mackenzie Dykeman, Tristin Hobbs, and Tyler Hobbs. Aside from his parents, Mr. Stringer was preceded in death by one son, David Stringer; two sisters, Annie and Mary Helen; one brother, Archie Stringer; and one grandson, David C. Stringer.
