Obituary Richard W. Sturgeon, 85, of Leawood, Kansas passed away peacefully on May 4, 2019. He was born in Eureka, Kansas on August 4, 1933, the second of three children to the late Tivis H. Sturgeon and Phyllis G. Sturgeon. His family moved to Emporia, Kansas where he attended Emporia High School.
