OBITUARY Richard Wayne Brown May 30, 1957 – September 23, 2018 Rich Brown, 61, of Matthews, North Carolina, passed away suddenly on September 23rd, 2018. Rich was born and grew up in Illinois. He was a graduate of Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.

Rich was a Master Gardener and was very proud of his yard and gardens. He loved to travel and went on many trips with family and friends. He is survived by his beloved Snoodles, Zoey and Riley; siblings, Bill Brown, Jeanette Carstensen (Duke) and Charlotte Matthews (Brad); and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition, he was surrounded by a large extended family and friends including The Prime Timers. Rich had a kind and gentle soul and he will be greatly missed. Our thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at the Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center.

Also to the Hospice Nurses for the special care that they provided to Rich and our family. A memorial service will be held in Minnesota at a later date.
