Richard Anthony Green, 49, of Pacific Grove, passed away February 25, 2019. Born on October 17, 1969 in Salinas, CA. , he had a life-long love for the ocean, surfing and working for Marina Coast Water District for 19 years.

While earning numerous certifications during employment, he worked his way up to a supervisory position within the company where he obtained knowledge of every pipe in their water system. His wife and children were the center of his life. Watching Joleen while she battled around the roller rink, waking up early on Sunday mornings to grab a burrito and head out to the beach to catch the best waves with his son, Dezi, and hearing the voice of his beautiful daughter, Bella, while she sang to the angels.

From music and concerts to burning bonfire Christmas trees at the beach, Joleen, Dezi, Bella and their sweet four-legged girl, Olive, were always by his side, right where they belong. These are the things that completed him. Over the years, at his home in Pacific Grove, he built a network of amazing friends and family; people that he was honored to call friends who positively influenced him, his wife, and his children in the values of life.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Jane Green-Piña. He is survived by his wife, Joleen of 20 years, their children, Dezi and Bella; parents Richard and Emily Green; in-laws, Joseph and Sharon Lomanto; sisters, Cindy Wells and Lori Zoval, brothers, Jonathan (Patty) LoneTree, Christopher (Trisha) LoneTree, Joseph “J.R.” (Crystal) Lomanto and many nieces, nephews, and numerous family members. Family, friends and others whose lives he touched are invited to a Celebration of Life to be held 9:30a.

m on Friday, March 8, 2019 at the San Carlos Cathedral at 500 Church Street, Monterey, California 93940 and Reception to follow.
