Obituary of Richard Scott Young Bedford-Richard “Scotty” Young, 82, of Bedford died Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Mitchell Manor Nursing and Rehab Facility. Born February 11, 1937 in Martinsville, IN, he was the son of Omer and Ethel (McClung) Young. He married Toni Agnesani and she survives.

He retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service, and later retired from NSWC Crane where he was known as “Shorty”. Scotty was also a Mason. Scotty loved his family and loved to fish, cook, and fix things by tinkering in his garage.

Survivors include his wife Toni of Bedford and granddaughter, Brianna Young; six children: Stacey Callahan and husband Scott, their children, Jordan and Calvin, of Bedford, Tobey Werner and husband James, their children, Lauren and Koby of of Bedford, Russell Young and wife Marie, their children, Logan and Reece, of South Carolina, and his son, Scott, of Bloomington; Mark Young, Sharon Eads, her children, Michael Everroad, Carrie Everroad and Justin Eads, Shona Edwards, her child, Pheona Riddle; one sister, Betty Lou Collins; two brothers, Robert Young and Jimmy Young. Along with several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and a daughter, Tracey Young.
