Richard Earl Tyra, 65, of Choctaw, died October 14, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. He was born November 4, 1952 in Enid to Richard N. and Charlotte Tyra. He was a retired used auto dealer and owner of Rick’s Auto Sales for 35 years.

He was a car and motorcycle enthusiasts. Playing Black Jack and watching the Sooners were his favorite things to do. He was a member of Next Level Ministries.

Rick is survived by wife, of 47 years, Pamela; sons, Rick and wife Sonya, Rodney and wife Melissa; 7 grandchildren, Macy, Cole, Tanner, Seth, Saylor, Steel, and Cassidy; his mother; his sisters, Cathy McCoy and husband Donald, Linda Harkrider, Francis Weidenhaft and husband Steve and Terrie Richardson; and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held 2 PM, Friday, October 19, 2018 at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home Chapel with internment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Choctaw, OK.
