Obituary of Rick Tollefson October 25, 1950 – February 17, 2019 Rick Tollefson. Age 68 of Wyandotte. Beloved husband of Mary Tollefson.

Loving father of Eric (Rachel) Tollefson, Jeffrey (Lorie) Tollefson, Laura (Ray) Galasso and Gregory Tollefson. Dearest grandfather of Rinker Tollefson, Miller Tollefson, Jacob Galasso and Hannah Harshberger. Dear son of Richard Arthur and the late Virginia Tollefson.

Dear brother of Darrell Tollefson and the late Sharon Spahn. Rick Tollefson went to Heaven a lot sooner than we had hoped. He fought against the cancer that took him from us with an attitude of hope for a cure, gratitude for every day he lived and a positive attitude that showed his faith that whether he beat it or not, he knew this world is not our final destination.

Rick was a life-long Michi-gander, save for ten years in Missouri. He loved being outdoors, watching birds on the feeder, sitting by a campfire and talking to whoever was there with him. He loved to travel, loved rooting for his favorite sports teams, and most of all, he loved his family.

He was proud of who they have become, and the people they have become can be attributed to the example he set on a daily basis on what it means to love one’s family. While he may not be with us anymore here on Earth, the love and devotion he gave to his family will have an impact on them for the rest of their lives. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either Trinity Lutheran Church, 465 Oak Street, Wyandotte, MI 48192 or The Church of Daniels Band at 4832 South Bard Road, Beaverton, MI 48612.
