OBITUARY RITA C KAPOLCHOK August 12, 1928 – October 2, 2018 Rita (Chabot) Kapolchok, 90, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, at Antelope Valley Hospital, Lancaster, CA. Born on August 12, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Leon Chabot and Hilda (Paquin) Chabot. Rita grew up in North Attleboro, MA, and in 1951 married Richard Kapolchok.

The couple moved to San Diego, CA, and then relocated to North Edwards, CA in 1958. Dick passed away on December 27, 1993. Rita worked as an accountant at Edwards Air Force Base, receiving many certificates and honors over the year.

Until recently, she visited friends and family in New England. She loved her life and her desert home, and resisted pleas to return to New England. She said she didn’t like the trees!

Rita is survived by many nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and grand nephews, cousins, and friends. She loved to laugh and instantly brightened the mood of any room she entered. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 18, from at Stickel Mortuary, 2201 Inyo St., Mojave, CA. Her cremains will be sent to MA, where a funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church in North Attleboro.
