Obituary for Rita Jane Kroll Rita Jane Kroll (1919-2018) Rita Jane Kroll, age 98, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2018 in Catonsville, Maryland. She was born on November 19, 1919 in Baltimore, Maryland, a daughter of the late Wilmer E. Kroll and Ida I. Kroll. She was predeceased by her parents, as well as her sisters and brothers, Mildred L. Carl, Betty L. Meads, Robert L. Kroll, Wilmer E. Kroll, Jr., and Charles A. Kroll.
Rita worked for over forty four years with the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company in Baltimore, Maryland. She attended Church of the Resurrection and was a devout Catholic who loved her church. Rita loved her family and enjoyed her time with them.
She had a generous and fun loving spirit. She loved the arts, traveling, and good conversation. In a time when most women did not work outside the home, Rita was an astute and dedicated business woman.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews and her very special sister in law, Midge Kroll. Rita was loved by many and will be dearly missed. The family would like to thank Midge Kroll and Dolores Sherin for their years of love, support, and faithfulness to our aunt.
Also, the wonderful, caring staff at Little Sisters of the Poor-St. Martin’s Home. Services: Visitation 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 31 at Little Sisters of the Poor-St. Martin’s Home. Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at New Cathedral Cemetery.
