OBITUARY Rita Kaye Stafford February 15, 1945 – November 11, 2018 Born 02-15-1945, Rita was preceded in death by her parents Tom, Sr. and Martha McGraw Stafford of Charlotte. She is survived by her brother, Tom (Wanda) Stafford, Jr. of Peachland, NC; 3 nieces, 2 nephews and 16 great nieces and nephews. Rita was a native of Charlotte and attended East Mecklenburg High School.

After graduation she obtained a business degree at UNC Greensboro. Her degree led her to a career with Celanese. She was a life-long member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church.

Rita enjoyed traveling all over the world, talking with her great nieces and nephews and going to her mother’s family events. Her closest friend was her Aunt Janice Rose of Charlotte. There will be a private graveside service at Independence Hill Baptist Church in Huntersville, NC.
