PAYNE, Rita M., 94, of Dayton, OH, born in Dublin, GA, went to be with the Lord September 30, 2018. Rita was a very caring person and was loved by many. Preceded in death by her husband, James N. Payne, Sr.; parents, Leo and Maime Wilson; son, Elliott Payne; daughter, Wiletha Blackshear.

She leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted sister, Wiletha McGuire; sister-in-law, Ruth Bettye; daughters, Francis Flippen, Saundra Metcalf; son, James (Donna) Payne; nephews, Apostle Arthur L. Sr. (Charlotte) McGuire, Raymond (Crystal) McGuire, Anthony Smith; nieces, Patricia (Merlton) Brandenburg, Jewell Haqq, Tina (Doug) Toles and Roberta Conner; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Revival Center Ministries, 3011 Oakridge Dr. Visitation 9:00-11:00 a.m. Family will receive friends 10:00-11:00 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc. A special thank you to the staff at Friendship Village Assisted Living and Health Center.
