Obituary for Robert A ‘Bob’ Dean Jr Dean, Robert ‘Bob’ A. Jr. Age 93, born October 5, 1924, Bob passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on September 9, 2018. Preceded in death by father, Dr. Robert A. Dean Sr. DDS; mother, Marion (Johnson) Dean; and brother William Dean. Survived by his loving family, wife Vicky; and 4 daughters; Kimberly (Stephen) Blomberg, Barbara (Gary) Hirsch, Laurie (Kevin) Woolsey, Tamara (Gareth) St. John; grandchildren; James, Michael (Alicia), and Carolyn Blomberg.

Adrienne (Paul) Ean, David (Angela) Hirsch, Christopher (Jordan) Hirsch. Rachel (Collin) Malaney, Lauren, Jesse and Natalie St. John; 4 great grandchildren; sister Judy Fisher; and many friends. Bob worked for the Municipal Courts in Mpls.

for 33 years and was an accomplished musician all of his life. He played saxophone and clarinet in the Curtis Hotel Orchestra, and many community shows and events at Lake Harriet and Como Park. He was able to play his favorite Big Band sound into his 80s with the Classic Big Band & Nostalgics.

He served in the Army toward the end of WWII in the Army Band. Service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, September 14, 2018 with visitation starting at 10:00 am at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1720 E.
