Obituary for Robert Alphonso Preciado, Colonel (Ret) Robert A. Preciado, Colonel, USAF (Ret), 92, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, Sept. 28, 2018 in San Bernardino, CA. A veteran whose military service totaled 29 years and covered 3 wars.

Col. Preciado was our heroic fighter pilot. His flying career with the USAF (1949-1974) included many assignments including combat tours in Korea and Vietnam.

Also a veteran of WWII (1944-1945), he served in the Pacific, as a Seargant , Operations , Air Transport Command, US Army Air Force. He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Jean of 40 years, loving father of Bobby Preciado, Tina Kernohan, Chris Wyatt and September Woods. Also surviving is his brother, Phil (Jackie) Preciado.

Col. Preciado was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris, of 23 years, daughter, Paulette Sullivan, and brothers, Frankie and Richard (Sylvia) Preciado. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018 at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave. San Bernardino, CA with military honors to follow at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd.
