Robert Arnold Chase September 24, 1949 – December 20, 2018 Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Robert Arnold Chase, 69, of Hallettsville, went to be with his heavenly Father on December 20, 2018. He was born on September 24, 1949 to Eddy Arnold & Emily Chase of Edna, TX. Robert graduated from Edna High School and attended Texas A&M University.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #2433. Robert worked for forty years in the oil field, all over South Texas; for Howell Drilling, South Texas Drilling and Pioneer Drilling before becoming an independent drilling consultant. Robert is survived by: his wife Rita of 46 years; daughter Tracy Sommer (Stephen) of New Braunfels; son Michael Chase (Lindsey) of Katy; 5 grandchildren, Tyler, Madison & Karsyn Sommer, and Sammy & Sophia Chase; and brother Richard Chase (Kathy) of Ganado.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Russell Chase. Special thanks to the staff of Stevens Nursing and Rehab of Hallettsville for the care they have given Robert the past several years. Funeral Mass Service: 2 pm, Sunday December 23, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville.

Visitation: starting at 5:30 pm, Saturday, at Kubena Funeral Home, with the Rosary starting at 7 pm. Officiant: Msgr. John Peters.

Memorials (in lieu of flowers): Sacred Heart Catholic Church/School, Hospice of South Texas or donor’s choice.
