OBITUARY Robert Bekoff May 8, 1943 – October 12, 2018 Robert Bekoff, 75, of Plantation, FL formerly of Lynn, MA, died peacefully on October 12, 2018. He was predeceased by his parents, Norman & Anne Bekoff and stepmother, Sylvia Bekoff. He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Dorothy; son, Norman Bekoff; daughter, Laura Miller; and sister, Joyce Bieler.

In addition he leaves his grandsons, CJ Miller, Brooks Bekoff and great-granddaughter, Lillian Miller. Bob was the original founder of the iconic Water Taxi of Ft. Lauderdale.

He expanded operations by opening additional locations across the country including Oklahoma City, which is still in operation today. Prior, he began his career selling forklift trucks as Owner/President of Maryland Clarklift. After selling and retiring at age 48, he went big game fishing all over the world.

He parlayed his vast experience to become a consultant and builder in the passenger vessel industry. He was an avid orchid enthusiast, amassing over 700 orchids. .
