Obituary for Robert “Bob” Gilbert Robert “Bob” Gilbert, 77, of O’Fallon, IL, born Sunday, June 8, 1941 in Fall River, MA passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Cedar Ridge Health and Rehab Center in Lebanon, IL. Bob worked as a Carpenter for Belleville Carpenters Local #433. He loved cheering for his hometown teams, The New York Giants football and Boston Red Sox baseball.

Bob enjoyed cooking even though his family may not have enjoyed taste testing his “creations”. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ann Gilbert, nee Reed; son, Greg Gilbert; three brothers and three sisters.

Bob is survived by two children, Scott Gilbert of O’Fallon IL, Christopher Gilbert of O’Fallon, IL; two sisters; one brother; grandchildren, Robbie (Amber) Gilbert, Sam Gilbert; great-grandchildren, Kinsley Marie Gilbert, Maleeya Gilbert, Maci Gilbert. Memorials may be made to O’Fallon Food Pantry, 801 E State St, O’Fallon, IL 62269. Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.
