69 year old, Robert “Bob” Schloz of Oconee, Illinois died Wednesday, May, 8, at 06:10 AM at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, Illinois. In keeping with Bob’s wishes there will be no services. A celebration of life will be held Saturday Evening May 18 in the Oconee American Legion Hall.

The public is invited to attend after 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society. Robert “Bob” Schloz was born Thursday, January 26, 1950, in Pana, Illinois the son of Albert Frederick and Elaine Veronica (Ambrose) Schloz.

Bob was a lifelong resident of the Pana Oconee area. He attended Sacred Heart School and was a graduate of Pana High School Class 1968. A veteran of the United States Army he was stationed in Germany.

He married Johnna Lea White in St. Paul Lutheran Church Pana, Illinois on Saturday, August 24, 1974. Bob was a Union Journeyman Electrician a member IBEW Local 146 Decatur and the Roy Ireland Post 317 American Legion Oconee Illinois. He is survived by his wife Johnna, son Nathan wife Sarah Schloz and daughter Jennifer Schloz, granddaughters: Kirstin Whitlatch, Ashlyn Schloz, grandson Bryce Schloz all of Pana.

A sister Mary husband John Kirkbride of Tower Hill, brother John Wife Judi Schloz of Macon, brother Charles “Chuck” wife Vicki Schloz of Longmont Colorado.
