Obituary for ROBERT D. “BOBBY” QUICK Robert D. Quick, (Bobby to everyone. EVERYONE! ), age 82, of Hueytown passed away peacefully into eternal life on January 11th, 2019.

Bobby was born November 5, 1936 in Birmingham, AL, to Freeman and Jewel Quick. He is a graduate of Hueytown High School and Holmes Jr. College. He was a highly regarded brick mason and was the owner of Quick Construction Company for 20 years.

After retirement taught masonry at Bessemer State Technical College. He was a deacon and Sunday School teacher at Concord Baptist Church, where he was an active member for 44 years. Bobby was an outdoorsman.

He loved to hunt, garden, BBQ, and piddle in his garage. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Peggy Quick Deloney. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Bonnie Quick; his daughters Cindy Quick Roberson (Roger), and Kathy Quick Joiner; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.

The visitation will be Sunday, January 13, 2019, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Concord Baptist Church. The funeral service will be Monday, January 14, 2019, at 11:00 AM, at the Church. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Roger Roberson, Roger Lewis, Jr., Alex Joiner, Zachary Joiner, Seth Joiner, and Kelly Roberson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis McDonald, Kenneth Early, and John Kelly. The family would like to thank Journey Hospice for their outstanding care the last few months.

Bobby loved the Lord with all his heart and it shone through him in everything he did. He will be missed, but we find great comfort in knowing he is with his Savior. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of ROBERT D. “BOBBY” QUICK please visit our Sympathy Store.
