Robert E. Beeson, 100 years old, of Nampa, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019 in Nampa. A Celebration of Life Service for Robert will be held at 4 PM on Monday, May 27, 2019 at the Meridian Friends Church, 1021 W. Pine Ave. Robert was born in 1918 in Ponoka, Alberta, Canada.

The family returned to the US and eventually settled in Star, Idaho, where he graduated from high school in 1935. In 1938 he began farming in Homedale where he met Ruth Hartley, a teacher, who became his wife in 1943. They farmed in Homedale, where their three daughters were born.

They moved to the Nampa area, where their son was born. In 1958 they purchased a farm south of Meridian. Bob retired in 1981 from Meadow Gold Dairies, sold the farm in 1986 and moved to Nampa.

At the time of Ruth’s death in 2015, they had been married 71 years. He lived a faithful life: to God, his family and his friends. Bob was a charter member of the Meridian Friends Church.

Bob is survived by a sister, Hazel McCracken, daughters Nancy (Clint) Repp, Annette Smith, Ellen (Chuck) Joy, and son Stephen (Cheryl); 9 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Ruthie, parents Roy and Lois Beeson, and 5 siblings; son-in-law Monte Smith. A Memorial fund has been established in Bob’s name.
