Robert’s Obituary Robert (Bob) Lennon Sr. of New Windsor and Haverstraw, NY passed away peacefully with his family by his side on May 21, 2019 at St. Luke’s Montifore Hospital in Newburgh, NY. Bob was raised in Yonkers, New York to MaryEllen Carney and James T. Lennon. He married his High School sweetheart, Helen T. Kennedy and settled in Haverstraw, NY in 1967.

Together they raised their daughter, MaryEllen and three sons, Michael (Sharon), Brian (Sue) and Robert (Staci). Bob graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Yonkers in 1957 and served his country for 2 years in the U.S. Army. He often bragged as he served with Elvis Presley and had postcards and letters from Elvis mailed home to Helen.

He was a proud driver for U.P.S. in Yonkers from 1962 to 1995, dedicating 33 years to all his neighbors and hospitals from where he was raised. After retiring, he worked another 10 years, delivering flowers for Brownsell Florist in Haverstraw. Bob leaves his loving memory behind to his 4 children and his 7 grandchildren, Brianne, Brian, Alyssa, Amanda, Caitlin, Michael and Robert and 6 great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his brother, Arthur P. of Raleigh, North Carolina and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife, Helen (1992) and two brothers, James and Jack. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 24 from 4-8pm at Brooks Funeral home 481 Gidney Ave.

, Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am, on Saturday, May 25 in St Peter’s Church, Haverstraw, Burial will follow in St Peter’s Cemetery.
