Robert E. Pomplas, age 86 of Madison, OH passed away Dec. 1, 2018 at Burton Healthcare. Born June 9, 1932 in Gerardville, PA to John and Helen (nee: Karpovitch), he had been a longtime area resident.

Robert was a Korean War Veteran serving on the USS Passumpsic as a welder and maintenance mechanic. He worked for Bargar Metal, Row Metal and Kennbal Fabricating. Robert was the beloved husband of Rosemary for 61 years prior to her passing in February.

He was the father of Robert (Cheryl) Pomplas and Barbara Bryant; grandfather of Robert E. (Jessica) Pomplas II, John A. Pomplas, Joseph Nicholson & Jeannine Snyder; great-grandfather of Ashley & Brittany Pomplas, Joseph Nicholson, David Snyder, Anthony Snyder and Vincent Bolog. A memorial mass will be held on Thursday at 11am at Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Road, Madison, OH with the family receiving friends from 10am to 11am at the church. Burial will follow at North Madison Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Potti Funeral Home of Madison.
