Robert Edward “Bob” Scalley age 59, of Canton, died unexpectedly on Thursday May 9, 2019 in his home. Born on December 31, 1959 in Steubenville, Ohio to the late Edward Junior Scalley and Gail Scalley Hughes. Bob was a graduate of GlenOak High School, Class of 1977 and served his country in the U.S. Army.

He was a landscaper for Rice’s Nursery and Canterbury Landscaping. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Yocum; brother, David Scalley and nephew, Michael Shahan. Bob is survived by his daughter, Michelle Scalley and her mother, Bert Scalley; three sisters, Mary Kay Cogley, Verna J. (Gary) Baggett, and Sandra A. Spurgeon; his stepdad, Dick Hughes; nieces and nephews, Travis Yocum, Lisa Cottrel, Crystal (Chad) Wiley, Tommy (Jocelyn) Beard, Jason (Fiancée, Kim Hood) Beard, Brad (Kim) Spurgeon, Ryan (Brianna) Spurgeon; great nieces and nephews, Kennedy Cottrel, Jacob Cotrel, Kylie Porco, Andi Rae Spurgeon, Peyton Spurgeon and Gunnar Spurgeon.

Bob was the life of the party. He was loved by many. He was an avid Browns, Cavs, and Indians fan.
