Robert I. Butcher, 69, of Zanesville, passed away February 12, 2019 at Genesis Morrison House, surrounded by his family. He was born August 10, 1949 in Marietta, OH, son of the late, Isaac Butcher and Jean Lancaster Butcher. He worked for Burnham Boiler and was a veteran of the United States Navy.

He is survived by his sons, Chad, Michael, Shante; daughter Kela; brothers, Terry Butcher, Todd Butcher, Stevie Butcher, Billy Butcher; sisters, Lisa Butcher, Michelle Butcher, Linda Butcher; several grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robin Butcher and Bruce Butcher. A celebration of life will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Saturday, February 16, 2019 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will take place at 1:00 PM with full Military honors conducted by the United States Navy in conjunction with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and American Legion Post 29.
