Robert J. Lyon, Jr., 79, of Cicero, passed away October 17, 2018 with his family by his side. He was born in Syracuse and was a US Navy veteran. He retired as a steam fitter for UA Local 267 Plumbers and Steamfitters.

He loved his family and enjoyed living and traveling in Florida. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Mary (Kelsey) Lyon and his brothers, Barry and Michael. Survived by his children, Debra Labenski (Mark Baker) of Cicero, Lisa (Sonny) Schiebler of Cicero and Kristin Lyon (Pat Wallace) of Brewerton; his grandchildren, Joleen and Paige Labenski, Nicole and Michael Abbott and Brandon, Erika, Bradley and Dylan Wallace; several great grandchildren; his sister, Cindy Hagan of Liverpool.

Calling hours are Saturday Oct. 20th from 3-5pm in Sears Middleton Mathewson Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., North Syracuse with a service to follow at 5pm. In Lieu of flowers, donations in Robert’s Name can be made to Hospice of CNY.
