Robert James Cox, Jr., “Doodle” age 56 of Magnolia, DE passed away January 7, 2019 at Kent General Hospital in Dover, DE. “Doodle” was born in Dover, DE December 9, 1962 the son of Maude and the late Robert “Jimmy”. Mr. Cox was a very unselfish man who was one of the best dry wallers around.

He owned the C & C Drywall Company, assisted K & S Drywall and worked at Space Com. Family described him as passionate about his Rabbit Dogs and all animals. He was an avid sports fan and loved fantasy football.

He rooted for and watched all of the Steelers, Lakers and Orioles games. He loved all music especially Elvis. He played pool and enjoyed bowling.

Doodle watched jeopardy often, loved fishing and hunting. His son Robert described him as a great protector and excellent brother. Mr. Cox is the devoted father of Dawn, Jeanette, Bonnie & Robert (Glenda).

Proud Pop-Pop of Marcus, Lexie, Christian, J.J., Natalie, Kevin, Honesty, Robert IV, Kaydance & the late Corey. Dear brother of Michael, Jason & the late Daniel and beloved son of Maude and the late Jimmy Cox. Special uncle of Ashleigh, Michael, James, Anthony, Braylon, Tyson & the late Tyler.

Mr. Cox is the grandson of the late James Parker Cox. Doodle will be missed by his life long friend Brian Fridley. He is survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was devoted to his dog Casius and joins in heaven his loving companion Tink Tink. Visitation Tuesday 6-8 pm and Wednesday 10 am until the service time 11 am at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden -Wyoming Ave. , Wyoming, DE.

Interment to follow at Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover, DE In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family. Share a memory at www.
