Funeral services for Robert James “Jim” Irvin, Jr. 60, will be held Wednesday May 15, 2019 at noon at the Bethesda Cumberland Presbyterian Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Irvin died on Saturday morning May 11, 2019 of a sudden illness. He was born in Alamo, TN son of Robert and the late Peggie White Irvin and had lived most of his life in Crockett County, TN.

He was educated in the county schools and received his B A degree from Lambuth College in Jackson, TN and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He was employed as the inventory manager of Rick Hill Nissan in Dyersburg and a member of Bethesda Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mr. Irvin was an accomplished pianist and served Bethesda Church in that capacity for approximately forty five years.

In addition to his father he is survived by his wife, Teresa Williams Irvin, Friendship, TN,, sister Rhonda Thompson (Walter), Brownsville, TN several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Visitation will begin at the church on Wednesday May 15, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. Memorials may be made to Bethesda Cumberland Presbyterian Church C/O Jeanette Hutchison 2190 Elizabeth Road Friendship, TN 38034. Friendship Funeral Home 731-677-2673.
