Robert “Bob” “Walter” Lee Hand, 88, died Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at his home, Pasadena, Maryland. He leaves his wife of 50 years, Eileen Hand (Tully). He is also is survived by his children, Susan Hodges (Robert), Robert Goodson (Michele), Stacey Young (Kevin) and Siobhan Moore (Matthew); his grandchildren Robert Hodges, Caitlin Weesner (Josh), Nicholas Hodges, Madeline and Sarah Moore, Hailey Young and many nieces and nephews.

He was born to parents Herbert and Irene (Hoxter) Hand. He was one of three children, his late brother Herbert Hand (Rosalie) and late sister Betty VanSant (Paul). Bob was raised in Baltimore, Maryland and graduated from City College and then served in the United Stated Air Force and was deployed during the Korean War.

He worked at Sears for 43 years in many capacities. In addition, Bob worked for H&R Block for 25 years. He was active in the Curtis Bay Athletic Club and enjoyed spending his time at the resort on the Chesapeake Bay.

In addition to his home in Pasadena, Bob enjoyed spending time at his Fenwick Island, Delaware beach home. Bob’s greatest memories were spending time with his family and friends. Bob was a lifelong Baltimore Colt fan and his favorite pastime was his unofficial coaching positions for the Maryland Terps, Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Orioles.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Jane Frances Church 8399 Virginia Avenue, Pasadena on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 11 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
