COCHRAN, ROBERT L. “RED”, 77 OF BLAIRSVILLE, PA died on Friday, March 1, 2019 as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident. He was born Wednesday, July 23, 1941 Livermore, PA, the son of the late Lawrence Cochran and Irma (Waddle) Cochran. He was a member of the Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church, Homer City, PA.

He had retired from Blairsville Westinghouse. Red was an avid hunter and Steelers fan. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.

Robert is survived by his wife of 56 yrs. , Jennie “Fay” (Murdick) Cochran, Blairsville, PA; daughter, Lori Rizer & husband, Ron, Blairsville, PA, daughter, Christina Shilling & husband, David, Indiana, PA; son, Shawn Cochran & his partner, Eric Burdette, Summerville, SC; grandchildren: Robert Rizer & fiancé, Kayla Weaver, Blairsville, PA, James Rizer & wife Courtney, Blairsville, PA, William Rizer, Indiana, PA, Samantha Shilling & fiancé, Devin Goss, Marion Center, PA and Tyler Shilling, Indiana, PA; great grandchildren: Jaxson & Zoey; brother, James Cochran & wife, Lois, New Alexandria, PA and brother-in-law, Raymond McDonald, Bedford, OH. He was preceded in death by his brother, Keith Cochran and sister, Nancy McDonald.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., Blairsville, PA. Arrangements are not final at this time but will be announced at a later date. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to: Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church, 35 Ridge Ave.
