OBITUARY Robert L. Strickland May 11, 1941 – November 8, 2018 Robert Leon Strickland, age 77, resident of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital. Graveside services are scheduled at Lakeview Memory Gardens, Phenix City, Alabama on Monday, November 12, 2018, 11:30 am with Leland McDonald officiating. The family will receive friends at Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, Alabama prior to the service on Monday, November 12, 2018 from 10am till 11am.

Mr. Strickland, son of the late Robert F. Strickland and Lennie Janette Pope Strickland, was born May 11, 1941 in Columbus, Georgia. He was Methodist by faith and retired from Seminole County Board of Education where he served as a Band Director at Donalsonville High School, Donalsonville, Georgia for over 30 years. He also formerly played with the Columbus Symphony and was a member of the Georgia Music Educators Association.

Mr. Strickland is survived by an aunt, Realy Pope Eddy of Phenix City, Alabama; a devoted cousin, Leland McDonald of Phenix City, Alabama; and many more cousins; relatives; and friends.
