Obituary for Robert Lee “Bob” Alden Print Robert Lee “Bob” Alden, age 87, passed from this life on Feb. 9th, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 8th, 1931 to Ethel & Perry Alden in Detroit, Michigan.

He graduated from Eastern High School in Detroit and then served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955. Bob is survived by his wife Jenny, two daughters; JoAnn Krul of Talking Rock, GA. , and Rhonda (Scott) Ford of Cantonment, FL.

, two step children; Stephanie (Dave) Walker of Kansas City, KS. , and Scott (Brenda) Sellmeyer of Excelsior Springs, MO. eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Bob was a volunteer for many years in the community and touched many lives, most recently being a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 3146, volunteering at Good Shepherd Thrift Shop in Tonganoxie, and past president of the Lei Valley Home Owner Association. Visitation will be 9am followed by the Rosary, then the Funeral Mass at 10am, both Wednesday, February 13th at the Holy Angels Catholic Church (Small Church), Burial will be 10am Thursday, February 14th at the Leavenworth National Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.
