Robert Lee Boyles Sr, 76, of Davisville, WV passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born on November 29, 1942 in Philippi, WV, the son of the Darl W. and Carrie E. Overfield Boyles. Robert retired from General Motors working the assembly line in Lordstown, OH.

Robert loved drag racing, working on cars, playing checkers and loved to listen to gospel music. He was a huge Steelers fan and loved spending time with his family. Robert is survived by his wife, Josephine L. Davidson Boyles; seven children, Daniel Boyles and wife Melissa, Davisville, Danny Boyles, Warren, OH, Carrie Boyles, Mineral Wells, Addie Harris and husband Kevin, Davisville, Robert “Bobby” Boyles, Jr. and wife Jessica, Parkersburg, Robert “Bob” Boyles, Jr., Warren, OH, and Carl Boyles and wife Carol, Washington; four siblings, Ethel Zucco, Warren, OH, Carol Yuras, Cleveland, OH, Rosa Waddell and husband Tony, Cleveland, OH and Herbert Boyles and wife Dorothy, Parkersburg; twenty two grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by three siblings, Valvie Boyles, Darl Boyles, Jr. and Denzel Boyles. Friends may call at the Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. , on Sunday, May 12, 2019 from 1-6PM.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00PM on Monday, May 13, 2019 at Bartlett Funeral Home, with Pastor Jimmy Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Philippi.
