Born in Passaic, he lived in Vernon, then Milford, Pa, before settling in Toms River for the past 9 years. He was a bus mechanic for New Jersey Transit in Paterson for 30 years, retiring in 2006.

Beloved husband of Diane (nee Ottogalli) loving father of the late Jesse Robert Philbrook, dear brother of Corine Lubowiecki, Arlene White and Elizabeth Tozzo, also survived by nieces and nephews. Visiting Wednesday 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Patrick J. Conte Funeral Home, Inc., 274 Market Street, Elmwood Park. Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Rev.
