OBITUARY Robert Ray Byrd Sr. July 14, 1924 – February 6, 2019 Robert Ray Byrd Sr., 94, of Olive Branch, Mississippi passed away on Wednesday February 6, 2019 at the Methodist Hospice Residence. He was born July 14, 1924 in Memphis. He was a business owner and after selling the business was a cattle trader during his semi- retirement.

He is survived by his wife of 77 years, Lois Johnson Byrd, and three sons and their wives, Robert Ray Byrd Jr. (Susie) of Lebanon, Tennessee, David Michael Byrd (Rhonda) of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Mark Johnson Byrd (Sharon) of Shelbyville, Tennessee and six grandchildren; Martha Michelle Byrd, Leslie Renee Byrd, Jenifer Ann Byrd, Joshua Johnson Byrd (Ashley), Rachel Lee Scholes, and Clayton Michael Byrd (Chelsea) and three great grandchildren; Emma Lynn Byrd, Harper Elizabeth Byrd, and Claire Adelyn Scholes. Robert and Lois Byrd are members of Grace Church of the Nazarene. They joined First Church of the Nazarene located on South Parkway in Memphis, Tennessee in 1945.

Mr. Byrd was devoted to his wife, Church, and Family. A Graveside service and burial will be at 10am Friday February 8, 2019 at Blocker Cemetery with officiating by Pastor Mark Lancaster. Condolences can be sent to the family by visiting www.
