Robert S. Abernethy, 59, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Peace Hospice after a brief battle with lung cancer. Robert was living at the Great Falls Rescue Mission for the last several months and made some very good friends while there. Randall “Randy” Slay stayed by his side 24/7 during his final hours at Peace Hospice.

Cody Bonney spent all his spare time when not at school, comforting his good friend. Brian Johnson and Red Harper also made a point of visiting him regularly during his final days. A Memorial Service will be held this Friday, January 18th at 11:00 AM at the Peace Hospice House, and all who knew and cared for him are invited to attend.
