Robert J. Shafer, 70, of Erie, died Friday, November 30, 2018 at Edinboro Manor. He was born in Erie on March 12, 1948, the son of the late Norman and Doris (Davis) Shafer. Bob was an outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish.

He enjoyed his large collection of John Wayne movies, which he acquired over a number of years. He worked as a truck driver for many years and served in the U.S. Army. Schooling and degrees, where attended.

Organizations, clubs. church attended He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Shafer. Survivors include three sisters, Mary Hill and Marie Parmely, of Washington and Alice Heredia of Arizona; and two brothers, Ron Shafer of California and George Shafer of Arizona.
