Robert D. Shope Age 79 of Elmira, died on Sunday, December 9, 2018. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Shope of Elmira; sons, Gary ( Terri Conklin) Shope of Elmira, Timothy (Bonnie) Shope of Whitney Point, NY, David (Jeaninne) Shope of Watkins Glen, NY, Jerome(Janet) Shope of Apex, NC, Ronald (Yvette) Shope of Elmira & James (Christine) Shope of Elmira; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; & brother, James Shope. He was predeceased by his oldest son, Robert E. Shope.

Bob was employed by Dura-Bilt with 45 years of service. PRIVATE SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT THE CONVENIENCE OF HIS FAMILY. INTERMENT WILL BE HELD IN FOREST LAWN MEMORIAL PARK, ELMIRA.

The Shope family would like to thank the staff at Bethany Manor, along with Sherri Patrick for the wonderful care given to Bob. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial donations to St. Jude 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105, Animal Care Sanctuary 353 Sanctuary Hill Lane Milan, PA 18831 or to Juvenile Diabetes 26 Broadway, 4th Floor New York, NY 10004.
