Obituary of Robert Stow July 25, 1942 – January 30, 2019 60 Year Resident of Santa Cruz A memorial service will be held this Friday in Santa Cruz for Bob Stow who passed away peacefully on January 30th, at Dominican Hospital, with his family at his bedside. Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he moved to California as a youngster and eventually to Santa Cruz. Bob joined the US Navy after graduating from high school and served during the Vietnam War.

Trained as an aviation electrician, Bob retired with the Navy following a career that spanned over 21 years. After his retirement, he returned to Santa Cruz working in maintenance at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk as well as being a very popular bartender with numerous local Santa Cruz establishments. Bob was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association (FRA), and was an avid reader.

He enjoyed the horse races, crossword puzzles, and was a fan of baseball; the S.F. Giants in particular. He and beloved wife of 50 years recently celebrated their anniversary this past December 2nd. He is survived by his wife Tame Yuri Stow of Santa Cruz, his two daughters and sons-in-law; Rene and Andy Eisaman of Missouri and Libby and Ben Johnson of North Carolina.

He also leaves his brothers and sisters-in-law; Dave and Ann Stow of Capitola, Pat and Martha Stow of Boulder Creek; sisters and brothers-in-law; Kathy and Mike Agnone of Santa Cruz, and Mary and Scott Kelly of Angels Camp. Bob also leaves many loving nieces, nephews and extended family who will miss him dearly. Bob was preceded in death by an infant son, his brother, John Stow, and his parents Edward and Ethel Stow.

Friends and family will gather at 2 p.m. on Friday February 8, 2019 at Benito and Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel to share their thoughts and prayers, and wish him farewell on his new journey. In lieu of flowers, a kind act of charity can be made in his memory to a charity of your choice.
