Robert Townsend Foster, 85, of Monroe formerly of Old Bridge, passed away at home surrounded by his family on February 11, 2019. He was born to the late Thomas and Ida Foster in Jersey City, NJ. He attended Fairleigh Dickinson College and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 1955.

Robert worked as a Credit Collections Manager for Maher Terminals before retiring to Monroe Township, NJ. Robert was an avid Jets Fan, he enjoyed his crossword puzzles, but most of all he was a family man who loved spending time with them. Robert is survived by his loving spouse Caroline Foster, two sons, Bruce Foster and his wife Rosemary, Jerome Foster and his wife Chrystal, daughter, Joan Foster; Six Grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephanie, Danielle, Erica, Jesse, Claudia; and Three Great-Grandchildren, Brandon, Kayla and Mason.

He was preceded in death by father, Thomas H Foster, mother, Ida Townsend. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2019, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Old Bridge Funeral Home, 2350 Rt 516, Old Bridge, NJ. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2019, 10:00 am at the Old Bridge Funeral Home, with Burial to follow at Holy Cross Burial Park and Mausoleum, East Brunswick, NJ.
