(Romans 14:8) Today we celebrate the life and legacy of Deacon Robert Eason a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Deacon Eason was born May 9, 1949 in Waycross, Georgia.

He graduated from Center High in 1969 and was employed at CSX Transportation until he retired. He was a faithful member of Church of Christ Written in Heaven on Blackwell Street until his illness. Deacon Eason loved his church and church family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jimmy and Elizabeth Ponder Sr. Deacon Eason leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memories; his wife of 35 years Gloria Eason, two children; Tiffany and Brittany Eason, of Waycross, Georgia, three granddaughters; Sha’mya Lewis, Briana and Mariah Eason of Waycross, Georgia, two brothers; Jimmy Ponder Jr. of Waycross, Georgia and Harold Ponder, of Tifton Georgia, mother-in-law; Christine Johnson of Waycross, Georgia, three brothers-n-law; Pastor Ronald (Peggy) Johnson, Willie (Dorothy) Johnson of Willacoochee, Georgia, and Jimmy Johnson of Waycross, Georgia, two sisters-n-law; Barbara (William) Tucker of Douglas Georgia, and Carol (Bishop John) Moss of Waycross, Georgia, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
