Robert’s Obituary Robert Wilson Reeves, age 87, passed away, Thursday, January 17, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 21, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Silverton with GJ Walton officiating. Interment will follow at the Silverton Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., Sunday, January 20, 2019 at the Moore-Rose Visitation Parlor in Silverton. Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore Rose Funeral Home. Robert Wilson Reeves was born on April 26, 1931 and grew up on the family farm near Silverton, TX.

He married the love of his life, Peggy Janelle Hays on November 17, 1951. He served in the Army from 1951-1953. After being discharged from the Army, he taught briefly at Texas Technological College.

He then returned to the family farm where he farmed and ranched until he retired. He loved God and put his love for God above all else. He also loved his family, especially his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and his friends.

He lived his life joyfully in the peace given to him by salvation in Christ Jesus. He spread that joy to everyone around him. He went to be with Jesus on January 17, 2019.

In heaven, he joins his son, Mark, parents, Sim and Sally, and siblings, Jack and Carol. He is survived by his wife, Janelle, son, Kerry, daughters, Jean and Janette, grandchildren, Kellas, Kristy, Kacie, and Cally, great-grandchildren, Malachi, Brayden, Kylie, Kayla, Chloe, and Haley, a brother, Raymond, and sisters-in-law, Bert and Jo, as well as many nieces and nephews.
