Roberta Marie Swan was born in Paris TX on July 23,1946 to the parentage of Robert & Lillian Swan, she was the youngest of 9. Roberta moved to Dallas and finished high school at Booker T. Washington in 1964. After graduation she went on to work as a cashier at many different diners, but ultimately spent 40 years as a head cashier at Children’s Medical Center, where she retired in 2008.

She was a loving mother and worked hard as a single parent to rear her children in the right direction. Roberta (Aunt Bert) was loved by all especially her grand-kids who gave her the nickname(s) grandma, mee-maw and gran-gran and she was devoted to sharing God’s word with her family. She has one daughter Cheryl Harris who preceded her in death.

She is survived by one sister Betty Flowers and daughter Danielle Sheffield (Rickie), five grandchildren, Christoper Frazier, Xavier Frazier, Albert Armstrong Jr., Khirstia Sheffield and Myles Harris. She also has seven great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
