Obituary of Robert Harden Robert J. Harden, 89, widower of Lucy Conforti Harden, died Monday, December 10, 2018, at National Healthcare Center. Born October 1, 1929 in Mt. Vernon Springs, NC, he was a son of the late Patrick L. Harden and Ola Jones Harden Dickerson.

Mr. Harden was a retired Vice President of Accounting and Finance at Sumter Dairies-Young’s Food Stores. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. Surviving are five sons, Thomas M., Michael J. (Diane), Robert E., Stephen L. and John W., a daughter, Patti H. Weaver (Tommy), three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Lane Harden; daughters-in-law, Dawn Marie, wife of son Thomas and Cicely Patricia, wife of son Robert. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. Thursday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the Sumter Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite #1509, New York, NY 10018. Online condolences may be sent to www.
