Vogt, Robert Sanford, Michigan Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, brother and friend passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Meridian Acres at the age of 84. The son of the late Joseph and Sadie (Newvine) Vogt was born September 4, 1934. He attended Arthur Hill Tech Trade school later to become a member of the U.S. Coast Guard.

Robert married Mary Austin on January 9, 1954, she predeceased him on September 3, 2009. Robert was employed at Paul Bunyan’s Meat Inc. Packaging Company as a foreman for 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and going to the casino.

Robert was also an avid sports watcher, especially the Detroit teams. He loved all holidays and even treated the Super Bowl as if it were a holiday. Above all he enjoyed spending quality time with his family.

Surviving him are his four children; Kimberly (Thomas) Wackerle; AZ; Joseph Vogt and Debbie Furlo; Cheryl (Scott) Praay; Lisa Gray and Don Weiss; nine grandchildren; Jennifer (Rick) Olesinski, Britney (Joshua) Wackerle, Lori (Jordan) Leaming, Kyle Wackerle, Nick and Joshua Praay, Amanda (Marcus) Nash; Chelsea and Austin Ennest; 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild as well as many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are two sisters Kathleen Hartman and Bonnie (Robert) Weiler; a brother- in law and sister- in- law, Thomas (Patricia) Austin, Elma Licavoli. Robert was preceaded in death by his sister Judy Erwin.

A funeral service will take place at 11:30 am on Friday, March 8, 2019 at the W.L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Burial will follow at Frankenmuth Township Cemetery. Rev.

Ted McCulloch will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 9:30am until the time of the service on Friday, March 8, 2019. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Meridian Acres for all the love and care they provided for Robert.
