OBITUARY Roberto Gamon Garcia May 13, 1938 – November 11, 2018 Roberto Gamon Garcia, of San Antonio, Texas formerly of Ignacio Allende Durango, Mexico Passed away on November 11, 2018 at Baptist Medical Center at the age of 80. Roberto is preceded in death by, Son Mario Gamon Ambriz, Daughter Raquelito Gamon Ambriz. His beloved parents, Fortino Gamon and Audelia Garcia.
Siblings; Socorro Gamon, Carmela Gamon, Velia Gamon, Flor Gamon, and Fortino Gamon Jr He is survived by his loving wife Maria De Jesus Ambriz-Gamon and by his adoring children; Maria De Jesus Gamon-Vasquez (Candelario Vasquez), Rosa Maria Gamon (Jorge Alvez), Raquel Gamon (Luis Cervantes), Jose Roberto Gamon (Genevieve Gamon), and Silvia Angelica Gamon. Brothers Rogelio Gamon ( Vicenta Ramirez), Jose Ernesto Gamon ( Francisca Quinones).
Grandchildren; Mario Alberto Munoz (Laura Cardenas-Munoz), Brenda Lilly Cervantes Sanchez (Arthur Sanchez), Christopher A. Rodriguez, Nancy Juarez (Benito Juarez), Stephanie Gutierrez, Edward Gamon (Ashley Jimenez), Jessica Alvarez (Mark Hernandez), Jorge Luis Alvarez, and Jose Roberto Gamon Jr. (Maddison Gamon). Great Grandchildren; Jordan Anthony Hernandez, Regina Marie Hernandez, Joshua Gutierrez, Landon Jacob Gamon, Silas Mateo Gamon, Sophia Rose Hernandez, Pablo Juarez, Aryana Lily Martinez, Olivia Grace Hernandez, Lyla Grace Gamon, and Ava Michelle Sanchez. Roberto is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Roberto loved horses and was an accomplished horse trainer and an avid lover of anything outdoors. Known as a man that could fix anything and who welcomed all into his home and made them feel like family. A man of few words, but strong words and most importantly a man of his word.
Roberto was a dedicated husband, Father, Grandfather, and great grandfather. An 80 year old man who would get on the floor and give his grandchildren pony rides on his back. The Visitation will be held Monday, November 19, 2018 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd.
San Antonio, Texas 78237 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The procession will depart from the funeral home on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery II.
