OBITUARY Roberto Vasquez November 3, 1944 – September 2, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Roberto Vasquez, age 73, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2018, surrounded by his wife and son. He was born in Brownsville, Texas on November 3, 1944. In August 1965 he joined the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

He retired in August 1988 as a T/Sgt. He was employed at Randolph AFB and Kelly Field after his retirement. He is preceded in death by his parents Castulo and Juana Vasquez, parents-in-law Francisco and Anita Plasencia, brothers Juan, Leonel, and Rene Vasquez, sister Minerva Mora and son Lee M. Westbrook, Sr

He is survived by his wife of 37 years Maria Nella “Nellie” Vasquez, sons Larry Westbrook (Isabel), Luis Carlos (Sharon) Little Dog, Lee M. Westbrook, Jr. (grandson), daughters Cherral, Shannon, and Hillary Vasquez. He is also survived by his grandchildren Cynthia (Frank), Ryan (Judy), Jetem, Justin, Ashlee, Angelica, Cheryl Ann, C.J., Carlos, Cassandra, Adonis, Dion, Caleb, Brayden, Megan, Sabrina, Brianna and 12 great-grandchildren including Sebastian Serna. He is also survived by brothers Castulo, Luis Carlos (Maria), Noe (Linda) Vasquez, sisters Mavi (Baldomero) Torres, Natalie Martin and Norma Vasquez.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 11:30 A.M. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. The procession will depart the funeral home at 10:30 A.M. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Lee M. Westbrook, Jr., Luis C. Little Dog, Caleb Little Dog, Rene Vasquez, Jr., Daniel Arriaga, Ruben Teniente, Faustino R. Vela, Jr. and Marco Vasquez. FAMILY He is preceded in death by his parents Castulo and Juana Vasquez, parents-in-law Francisco and Anita Plasencia, brothers Juan, Leonel, and Rene Vasquez, sister Minerva Mora and son Lee M.
