She was born in Detroit, Michigan, on June 11, 1958, the daughter of Gerald Adcock and the late Judith Rue Adcock Gibson. She retired as an Accountant for Variety Foods for 17 years.

She was a Catholic. She was the mother of 6 children, including 2 sets of twins. She loved crafting, gardening, remodeling, and her dogs.
