Obituary for Robin Thomas Robin Thomas, age 59, of Henderson, KY, passed away on December 11, 2018 at IU Health Methodist Hospital, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Robin began her career in the financial services industry in 1981 at Hilliard Lyons and joined Merrill Lynch in 2000. She enjoyed developing long-term relationships with her clients and their families.
She was also a past board member of the southwestern Indiana chapter of the American Red Cross. Robin was a serious and long-time Alice Cooper fan. She and her daughter would go every year to see him in concert (back stage passes, of course!
) and go shopping together. Her devotion as a fan paid off when she received a call recently from Alice Cooper himself, wishing her a happy birthday. Robin’s greatest love was spending time with her family, especially with her grandson Cooper.
Robin was preceded in death by her mother, Etta Jenkins. Robin is survived by her husband of 30 years, John Thomas; much loved daughter, Sara Carmen Steurer; father, Francis M. Jenkins, all of Henderson, KY; sister, Mary Beth Collins and her husband, Mike, of Robards, KY; grandson, Cooper Herring of Henderson, KY; best friend of 40 years, Julie Ferguson, of Evansville, IN. Relatives and friends are invited to Robin’s Life Celebration from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2018 and again on Saturday starting at 11:00 a.m. at Tapp Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Virgil Hammontree officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY.
