Obituary of Rocco Tedesco Rocco “Rocky” R. Tedesco, 94 of McKeesport, PA passed away on April 17, 2018 in Meadville, PA. He was born on January 22, 1924 in Fayette County, PA son of the late Frank Tedesco and Anna Marie (DiPierro) Tedesco. Rocco married Dorothy H. Schmipf on March 1, 1947.

She preceded him in death on July 11, 2008. Rocco served in the Army as part of the Blackhawk Division. He was awarded the American Theater Ribbon, EAME Theater Ribbon with a Bronze Star, Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Ribbon and a Victory Medal.

Rocco was the owner and operator of Cannon-Tedesco Concrete. He enjoyed neighborhood activities, flower gardens and helping others in his community. Rocco is survived by his daughter, Carol L. Conway and her husband Charles E. III of Albuquerque, NM and son, R. Richard Tedesco II and his wife Arlene of Meadville, PA; four grandchildren, David C. Conway, Allison L. Conway, Rocco R. Tedesco III and his wife Brianna, and Amy L. Barrett and her husband, Scott; seven great-grandchildren, Vanessa, Nic, Zane, Samuel, Ayden, Vivian and Paige, brothers; Mike, Henry, Frank and Carmen, sister: Helena.

Further survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins In addition to his parents and beloved wife, Rocco was preceded in death by siblings: Vincent, Marie, Carmella, Madeline, Lucille, John, and Mario. Friends and family are welcome on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 11:00 AM until 1:30 PM at Striffler’s of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (412-678-6177). The funeral service will follow at 1:30 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Marty Smith officiating, followed by a graveside service at McKeesport and Versailles Cemetery in the “old German” section, with Military Honors.
