Rodger L. James, age 66, Logansport, passed away peacefully at 6:35 p.m. on Thursday, October 25, 2018, in his residence, surrounded by his family and friends. Born January 27, 1952, in Logansport, he was the son of Paul and Nina Conklin James. His mother survives, residing at WoodBridge Health Campus.

His father is deceased. On September 11, 1998, he was married to Reba Graf, who survives in Logansport. A 1970 graduate of Logansport High School, Rodger was a retired owner and distributor for Mike-Sell’s Potato Chips.

He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and the Cursillo Community. Rodger enjoyed taking care of his home and yard and spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed his pets, Chloe, Chloe, Lucy and Macy.

Surviving, in addition to his wife and mother, are a daughter, Melissa (Alan) Biggs, Clearwater, Fla. and son, Derek James, Logansport; brother, Larry James, Logansport; sisters, Carolyn (Dick) Bell, Beaufort, SC, Linda Cook, Monticello, and Trish (Tim) Morris, Logansport; grandchildren, Cameron (Seanna) Biggs, Allison Biggs, Lindsey Biggs, Nathan Biggs and Jordan James. Also surviving are a mother-in-law, Mary Jolly, Logansport; sisters-in-law, Cindy Beck, Monticello, Lori Jolly-Brown (Brian Brown) Delphi, former spouse and lifelong friend, Becky (Jon) Wicker, Logansport; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Rodger was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey James, brother-in-law, Wayne Cook and father-in-law, Harry Jolly. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 29th at All Saints Catholic Church, with Fr. Jeff Martin officiating.

Visitation will be on Sunday, October 28th, from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Kroeger Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cass County Humane Society, 700 Water Street, Logansport 46947.
